About us

Our Story

We started out with a belief that yoga can transform you—on and off the mat. Soon this vision evolved and encompassed a plenary set of wellbeing practices.

Laura Motioc was still a student when she first set out to answer a simple question: what is yoga? Ten years later, the practice is a constant in her life.

When a serious accident led to surgery and two years of recovery, founder Alexandru Botezatu experienced first-hand the transformational benefits of yoga.

An avid outdoorsman from Cluj-Napoca, Romania, Alexandru was left searching for a form of practice to replace the mountain biking, skiing, climbing, and other physically demanding activities that were suddenly no longer accessible to him.

Pain can be a profound teacher. In that space of stillness and recovery, yoga became not only a method of physical rehabilitation, but the beginning of a deeper inner journey.

Seven years ago, yoga found Alexandru. What began as a way to reconnect with the body gradually evolved into a path of healing, self-discovery, and spiritual exploration. Through consistent daily practice—including asana, pranayama, meditation, mantra, and kriya—yoga became a central axis of his life.

His journey has been deeply inspired by the teachings of Sadhguru and the powerful Kriya practices which opened a profound doorway into the science of inner wellbeing and conscious living. What he shares arises from personal practice, lived experience, and a sincere commitment to exploring yoga as a transformative inner technology.

With a background in visual arts and user experience design, Alexandru spent many years designing digital experiences for global products. Over time he realized that designing interfaces and systems was only one dimension of his work—one that gradually evolved into designing meaningful experiences for human beings.

Today, yoga informs and complements his creative and professional life. His approach integrates design thinking, artistic sensitivity, and classical yogic practices to cultivate presence, awareness, and embodied intelligence.

Alexandru currently teaches weekly classes of Vinyasa and Pranayama through his partner studio, Ashtanga Yoga Shala and continues to deepen his personal sadhana through daily practice.

He is also the creator and facilitator of the Integral Kriya Yoga Course, a structured 12-week program designed to guide participants through a progressive exploration of yogic practices and inner awareness. The course integrates asana, pranayama, meditation, mantra, and contemplative practices to support participants in establishing a stable personal sadhana and cultivating a deeper connection to body, breath, and consciousness.

As he continues to grow his community, Alexandru remains committed to sharing the subtle yet powerful impact of yoga—not only as a discipline of body and breath, but as a creative, spiritual, and life-integrating path.
